18 years ago, Keith Jr. High School closed its doors as a school.
The building was later purchased by developers, who renovated the central section into 53 apartments.
The two ends of the building, however, were simply mothballed — set aside for future renovation that, to this day, has never come.
Inside this 1,200-person sanctuary — what we call the auditorium — time feels like it’s been paused.
Those who once walked these halls will remember it much as it stands today: paint peeling from the walls, no lights overhead, silence where there used to be life.
And above the stage, there’s an inscription.
A small quiz for the internet — especially for those who once attended here. If you went to school at Keith, you might remember what it said.
I’ll give you a hint:
Above the stage of a place that educated countless children over many years, there were truths we lived by.
So the question is — for those who remember… What were they?
