Wisdom Is Never a Solo: Lessons From the Old Chorus Room at Keith Junior High

Welcome to another Wisdom Wednesday from inside one of the most nostalgic spaces at Keith Junior High School — the old chorus room.

For years, many former students have asked to see the room again, curious about what became of the space where rehearsals, performances, and memories once filled the halls with music. The answer may surprise some visitors.

When the building was redeveloped roughly 17 years ago, the original chorus room was converted into an apartment. Today, the space is undergoing another round of renovations as part of the continued restoration work happening throughout the property.

While the room may no longer look the way former students remember it, the spirit of what happened there still inspired this week’s message.

The idea shared from the former chorus room was simple: wisdom is never a solo — it is always a chorus.

In music, a chorus gains its strength from multiple voices working together. No single singer carries the entire performance alone. In much the same way, real wisdom often comes through collaboration, communication, and the collective insight of others.

No individual sees every angle perfectly. No single person has every great idea. But when thoughtful people come together, share perspectives, challenge assumptions, and work toward common goals, something far stronger begins to emerge.

That principle applies to business, leadership, relationships, and community building alike.

Whether solving problems, building companies, restoring historic buildings, or navigating life itself, the best outcomes are rarely created in isolation. They are formed through teamwork, shared knowledge, and people learning from one another.

From the old chorus room at Keith Junior High comes a reminder that still echoes today:

Wisdom is never a solo. It is always a chorus.
